Nantes Research and Teaching Hospital selects Ennov5 Doc for its centralized document management system.
Nantes Research and Teaching Hospital is a group of 8 hospitals located in Nantes (West of France) and its suburbs. It as a capacity of 3,077 beds and received more than 845,000 patients in 2007, thanks to a staff of 10,536 medical and non medical employees.
Nantes Research and Teaching Hospital has been working on its document management procedures since 2000. In 2007, consequently to its Quality Improvement Plan, they decided to purchase a content management application.
Ennov5 was the solution they chose as a result of an RFT
The goal of that operation is three fold:
- Bring under control the writing and distribution of documents linked to professional practices and procedures
- Facilitate access to applicable documents
- Make the document knowledge base accessible through the hospital intranet.
Nantes Hospital project is due to start early 2008. It will centralize documents initially managed at each site according to previous document procedures. After the document base has been customized, over 3 700 legacy documents will be integrated and made available to the hospital personnel.
The first document scope is linked to Standard Operating Procedures. It should extend to other document types and departments within the hospital since Nantes Hospital actually wants to generalize the use of Ennov5 for the management of most types of documents.
