Automatic Conversion to PDF
This Ennov5 Doc add-on secures the viewing format of active documents: attached documents are automatically converted from original MS Office format to PDF. End users accessing documents can only view their PDF version.
Whenever an MS Office document is issued in Ennov5 Doc, the software provides the author an automated conversion to PDF format. If the issuer selects this option, the conversion is completed by the application before the document is sent for approval and again when it is distributed. PDF document is proposed for viewing purposes when you wish to restrict editing of the document. The original MS Office document is hidden but still stored in the system; it is used by the authors during the revision process.
In addition, conversion to PDF drives automatic update of bookmarks embedded in the original document. If the original document contains bookmarks that can be automatically populated out of the ID form data, then the PDF document being created will update all the bookmarks with the appropriate information. This feature prevents data from being different between ID form and the attached document.
Conversion to PDF saves lots of time to issuers whenever a document is entered in the system. Its return on investment is very high especially when existing documents should be integrated in the system.
